Sherborne is a thriving market town which boasts not one but two castles, a stunning abbey and a handful of long-established schools, whose alumni include Doctor Who star Jon Pertwee, codebreaker Alan Turing, Kristin Scott Thomas, Jeremy Irons, Hugh Bonneville and David Cornwell (John Le Carré)… to name just a few!
The town centre around Cheap Street is different form your average high street, with a fantastic range of independent shops, eateries and fabulous pubs. Community town events like the Sherborne Festive Shopping Day, the Summer Festival and the Abbey Festival are not to be missed.
